Dr. Derek Gong is the Co-Founder and Managing Director of Oskefer Consulting. A Chartered Engineer (UK) and Professional Member of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining, he has over 18 years of expertise in failure investigation, root cause analysis, and expert witness.

Derek began his career at TÜV SÜD as a failure analysis consultant before advancing to senior roles at Rolls-Royce, where he investigated aircraft engine failures. He later transitioned to the insurance industry as a senior loss adjuster, focusing on complex engineering losses in power and energy. In 2022, Derek co-founded Oskefer Consulting to provide specialized engineering consultancy to the insurance industry. His current focus is investigating failures in relation to power and energy sectors.
