Sunil heads the Risk and Insurance department at ENGIE for the Asia, Middle East, and Africa region.

He is currently based in Dubai and prior to joining ENGIE in 2009, Sunil worked with insurance companies like AXA, Royal and Sun Alliance, and Zurich as well as had risk management roles with Nakheel Asset Management. His career in the insurance industry spans over 22 years.

Sunil has been personally involved in more than 28 successful financial closings of power projects in Asia, Australia Middle East, and Africa. These projects ranged from mergers and acquisition, green field, brown field, combined cycle, renewables, desalination and refinancing.

Sunil holds a Diploma in Insurance from the Chartered Insurance Institute in United Kingdom as well as a Masters in Management Information Systems.
