Tim is the managing director and Principal Consultant with Eastham Engineering Consultancy Pte Ltd. He is a both a Chartered Mechanical Engineer and a Chartered Loss Adjuster. Tim has worked in the engineering and manufacturing industry for 8 years, including 6 years in the gas turbine manufacturing industry, and has 20 years’ experience in the insurance industry, first as a loss adjuster and regional engineer, and more recently as a specialist consultant engineer, mostly in the Asia-Pacific Region. Tim is a power generation and rotating machinery specialist and has provided advice on over 100 turbogenerator failures, including industrial gas turbines up to 250 MW, aeroderivative gas turbines up to 45 MW, steam turbines up to 500 MW and hydroturbines up to 280 MW. Tim has also provided engineering advice on major petrochemical losses resulting in substantial savings for Insurers.
