Guy is LIU’s global Power-Generation Practice Leader, and heads LIU Australia’s team of EPC Engineers.
Based in Sydney, he works across the Asia-Pacific region conducting site surveys and assessing risk in oil and gas production; refining; pipelines; gas liquefaction; power generation; and construction projects. His key priorities are in providing global and regional direction with technical support to LIU’s underwriters, fellow engineers and claims staff, as well as providing risk control expertise to brokers and clients.
Guy holds a PhD in boiling heat transfer mechanisms. He has worked internationally in fields as diverse as deep-level mining, finite-element modelling, consulting, design, lecturing, and in the development of cryogenic satellite test facilities.
He gained specialist expertise in forensic engineering investigations while living in the UK, before joining LIU in 1999.
A Fellow of the Institution of Engineers Australia, Guy is also a Chartered Engineer (UK), a Member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (UK), and a Chartered Professional Engineer (Australia), including registration under Queensland legislation.
