Based in Singapore, Wolfgang is responsible for Munich Reā€™s CIP experts, who underwrite traditional insurance products and innovative risk transfer solutions for major industrial clients out of Singapore, Hong Kong and Tokyo. In his role, Wolfgang does committedly focus on innovation within insurance to design new risk transfer solutions that meet individual risk profiles and their transfer to adequately reflect the changes in risk in todayā€™s world. To do so, he helps his clients to craft applicable risk scenarios in close collaboration. This modelling is done in a qualitative as well as quantitative fashion.
Wolfgang joined Munich Re in 2008, being one of the first employees to build-up the Special Enterprise Risks unit that provides innovative risk transfer solutions. Before coming to Asia, he headed the Munich based Client Management Team of CIP. He is a Banker by education, holds degrees from Passau University as well as University of New South Wales in Sydney, and has more than ten years of consulting background within Operational Risk Management, i.e. facilitation workshops to identify and assess risk scenarios, but also to report them to senior management and discuss potential risk management measures.
