With a comprehensive background in nuclear safety, regulation, and engineering, Thorsten has over a decade of international experience in the nuclear industry. He holds a diploma in electrical engineering with a specialization in automation and control systems, complemented by advanced studies in international nuclear law through collaborations with IAEA, OECD-NEA, and the University of Montpellier.
Since 2011, he has been an active member of the German Federal Regulation Board for nuclear safety standards (KTA), including its Operations Subcommittee. His career includes key roles at AREVA NP Germany, where he managed instrumentation and control projects and served as a trainer on reactor control systems.
