Prior to entering Parliament, Alok qualified as a chartered accountant and then worked as an investment banker for 16 years based out of London, Frankfurt and Stockholm.

He also oversees the company’s Venture Studio as Chairman and lead executive.

Charlotte manages a team of claims professionals and is responsible for all Short-tail lines in Asia.

Harold Hammer

Harald has been working as a solar consultant since 2014 and since joining DNV in 2018 he has provided advisory services for more than 4 GWp of floating solar projects. Among these projects is the 60 MWp project on Tengeh Reservoir in Singapore and the 192 MWp project on Cirata Reservoir in Indonesia. Harald was one of the key contributors to DNVs recommended practice for floating solar “DNV-RP-0584” and is coordinating the joint industry projects for design standard for anchoring and mooring systems and testing and qualification standard for floats.

With over 12 years of experience in the international wind power industry, he has gained extensive knowledge of the complexities of wind turbine blades, including defect causes, consequences, and development risks.

Hugh leads the Matthews Daniel Downstream team and is an experienced power, oil and gas and petrochemical loss adjuster both for operational and construction losses including business interruption and delay in start up. Hugh has lived and worked in Singapore, Thailand, Oman and the United Arab Emirates, he is now based in London where he deals with losses in the Middle East, Europe, Caucaus countries, United States and Africa. In his spare time Hugh is a Police officer in the Metropolitan Police.

He is currently based in Dubai and prior to joining ENGIE in 2009, Sunil worked with insurance companies like AXA, Royal and Sun Alliance, and Zurich as well as had risk management roles with Nakheel Asset Management. His career in the insurance industry spans over 22 years.

After graduating from the University of Nottingham with a Masters degree in Chemical Engineering in 1996, Mark spent 10 years in industry most notably with The Dow Chemical Company, where he also earnt his Master in Business Administration (MBA) at Leeds University Business School.

In his current capacity, Som leads Asia engineering functions to serve customer Biz needs and supports the lifecycle of GE Vernova’s Gas Power assets in Asia.

Jackie B. Surtani is the Regional Director and Head of Singapore Office, Asian Development Bank. Mr. Surtani leads efforts to deepen cooperation between ADB and the Government of Singapore and the financial sector, as well as explore opportunities for private and public sector projects across the region with a strong focus on climate action. Jackie has over 33 years of experience in Asian infrastructure lending and advisory. He has strong sector and regional knowledge across the entire energy chain, as well as in infrastructure, and telecommunications.

In his current role, Clarence is a member of Aon’s Global Construction & Infrastructure Leadership team and a member of Aon’s Global Claims Leadership team delivering significant client value through Aon’s governance and escalation protocols, and dedicated Claims Advocacy.

After 40 years in the Insurance industry, Neil stepped down from his last role as Head of claims, Asia for a large Broking firm earlier this year and is now taking a rest. Neil spent his time in the industry trying to keep insurers honest and helping policyholders navigate the labyrinth of Insurance policies and practice. He is now retired but continues to offer his advice from time to time to Insurers and buyers.
