Sunil heads the Risk and Insurance department at ENGIE for the Asia, Middle East, and Africa region.
He is currently based in Dubai and prior to joining ENGIE in 2009, Sunil worked as an underwriter with AXA, Royal and Sun Alliance, and Zurich as well as having risk management roles with Nakheel. His career in the insurance industry spans over 20 years.
Sunil has been personally involved in more than 25 successful financial closings of power projects in Asia, Middle East, and Africa. These projects ranged from mergers and acquisition, green field, brown field, combined cycle, renewables, desalination and refinancing.
Sunil holds a Diploma in Insurance from the Chartered Insurance Institute in United Kingdom as well as a Masters in Management Information Systems.
