Nico leads the end-to-end Energy Business activities for Wärtsilä in the North & South East Asia region, including future-fuel enabled balancing power plants, hybrid solutions, energy storage and optimisation technology.
As a global leader in grid-scale storage technology, Nico and his team at Wärtsilä work with utilities, IPPs and other energy providers to harness the potential of intermittent energy sources such as solar, wind and hydro power. Their mission is to make energy storage a fundamental part of a cleaner, more intelligent and distributed energy infrastructure focused on a 100% renewable energy future.
Nico will provide the APF with a unique insight into de-risking energy storage in APAC whilst examining trends, opportunities, and challenges in integrating energy storage into regional power markets.
