David has been leading Allianz’s Energy claims practice since 2014 with global responsibility for Power, Renewables, Onshore Energy and Offshore Energy claims.
David is a qualified Mining Engineer with an Honours Degree from Leeds University. He started his career working as an project engineer specializing in offshore production, construction and decommissioning, based in the UK and managing projects offshore Scandinavia, Africa and Europe. His first role in claims was with Matthews Daniel in London, frequently travelling to Asia, Europe and Africa to adjust energy claims both offshore and onshore. He has been an Energy and Property Claims Manager in both Lloyd’s and Company market, handling complex and challenging claims for over 15 years.
He is a member of the LMA Joint Energy Claims Group, the IUA Energy Claims Group and a claims advisor to the LMA Onshore Energy Business Panel and the LMA Renewable Energy Committee.
