Ton van Everdink has over 20 yearsā€™ experience in the (re)insurance industry. He started his career as a loss prevention representative working with Industrial Risk Insurers in the United States, undertaking surveys of petrochemical, automobile, steel and power plants, before continuing with this work in Europe and the Middle East.
Ton continued working as a risk management consultant with insurance broker Sedgwick, based out of Amsterdam and Boston for clients in the mining, power generation and oil industries in Europe and the United States.
He subsequently became a facultative energy underwriter specializing in the oil, gas, mining and power industries at Munich American Risk Partners and headed the Nairobi office as client manager for East Africa and the centre of competence for engineering in sub-Saharan Africa. Since June 2010 Ton has undertaken the role of senior claims manager with Munich Re’s Corporate Insurance Partner division in Munich, mainly dealing with refinery, petro-chemical, mining and power claims.
