Alan Purbrick is the Founder and CEO of Capital Consulting International, a specialist company providing expert time and cost consultancy targeted specifically at the world of insurance.
Established in 1998, CCi has now grown to be the leading provider of of time-related analysis and preparation of forensic timelines to the global insurance industry, especially in relation to Business Interruption and Delay in Start Up claims. CCi is also a major provider of Project Monitoring for new construction projects that carry DSU insurance cover.
Alan’s background is in construction and engineering and he became involved in the insurance industry following the IRA bombings of the City of London in 1992 and 1993. He is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor and Building Engineer and has over 30 years’ experience in global construction projects, 25 of those years against the backdrop of insurance losses.
His experience also extends to assisting with the preparation of forensic construction costs and schedule analyses where the works have already been completed.
Alan has helped develop Project Monitoring for Underwriters and this has been utilised on key projects around the world, including the 2012 London Olympics, New Istanbul Airport, Jamnagar Refinery, Goethals Bridge and Freeport LNG.
Alan has undertaken consultancy roles on a number of high profile DSU and BI losses worldwide, appearing as an expert witness in the UK, US and Caribbean, and is regarded as one of the leading experts on DSU time-related issues.
